Dr. Savitha De Britto: Executive Dean,

Dr Savitha De Britto obtained her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Karnatak University, Dharwad in India. She received her Master of Science (Microbiology and Plant Pathology), Bachelor of Education (Chemistry and Biology) and Bachelor of Science (Chemistry, Botany, Zoology) from Mysore University, Karnataka, India.
She has many years of teaching experience in the Secondary Education System in PNG before joining the Tertiary Education System with the University of Goroka in 2008 as a Lecturer in Biology. She later became HOD for Science in 2010, and HOD for Biological Sciences during the academic and administrative restructure in 2013.

Mr. Charles Akunai is an experienced secondary school teacher by profession who has been serving as the Executive Officer since 2013. He has a Bachelor of Education from the University of Goroka and is studying at the Divine Word University for a Masters in Public Administration qualification. He is an industrious officer who has also been active with other duties delegated by the University Management.

Ms. Esther Lazirope is the acting Executive Officer during the period Mr Charles Akunai is on study leave. She is a young officer with a Bachelor of Environmental Health from the Divine Word University. She worked as an Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Officer (OHSE) before joining the University of Goroka as a Temporary Tutor with the Biological Sciences Division in 2020.

Ms. Kuamba teaches Neonatal health to student midwives who can competently reduce perinatal mortality and provide quality health care to women, newborn and the critically ill young infants in PNG.
