University Librarian
The University faces numerous challenges ahead, particularly due to shifting government policies and priorities, the rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the evolving landscape of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). ICT has transformed the library from a traditional collection of printed books into a hybrid library—offering both physical and digital resources—and ultimately into a "library without walls." Today, the library’s homepage serves as a gateway to the internet, accessible anywhere with a connection.
Through ICT, we continue to innovate, modernize, and transform our library services and operations.
The library aspires to be a national leader in promoting lifelong information literacy. We aim to equip users—especially students—with the skills to recognize their information needs and to find, access, evaluate, and use information effectively, efficiently, and ethically.
The UoG Library acknowledges the critical role of ICT in its modernization efforts and deeply values its partnership with the university’s ICT Division. As technology continues to reshape how we live, work, learn, and conduct research, we remain committed to evolving alongside it.
