The Journal of Teacher Education was established by the School of Education of the University of Goroka to disseminate interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research in all aspects of education. It focuses on increasing awareness on current issues, process, and phenomena at the interface between education and the society at large and providing inputs to policy making. The Journal is published two times in a year.
CALL FOR PAPERS FOR PUBLICATION
The Papua New Guinea Journal of Teacher Education (PNGJOTE) invites articles on a par with international standards from the academics, non-academics and students of various institutes of higher learning, and teachers from the secondary and high schools nationally and internationally. It can be either interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary which can enhance learning and teaching to create the future of Papua New Guineans.

Nurturing Quality Education for National Progress
Aligned with the PNG Medium Term Development Plan IV, the theme explores the multifaceted concept of quality education and its pivotal role in shaping a thriving nation. Articles with this theme explore innovative teaching methodologies, curriculum design, assessment practices, and teacher development strategies that contribute to the delivery of high-quality education at all levels.
INFORMATION FOR CONTRIBUTORS
The PNG Journal of Teacher Education invites educators, researchers, academic, scholars, policy makers, teachers and practitioners to submit articles, case studies, research findings, positional papers and insights that address these themes and their implications for PNG’s educational landscape. Submissions should embody our commitment to advancing education and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
All articles submitted for publication should be original and not previously published or not even considered for publication by another publisher. Manuscript should contain title, author’s name, and their affiliation with an institution, abstract, keywords, main text including figures and tables, and references. The titles of the articles should not be more than 25 words.
Author’s biography should include educational background, research field and current affiliation submitted as a separate file.

Papers should be submitted by: 01st September 2026
All articles accepted will go through peer-review. Length of article is between 4,000 - 6,000 word length, submitted in Microsoft word file, 12 font size, Times New Roman and Doubled Spaced.
